Hmm, so they are saying that Flynn lied specifically about the details he and Kislyak spoke about? For the record, it sounds like a good plan?
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the future NSA Director talking post election with other foreign governments. Again solving the problems Iran and Syria pose seems like a good idea?
It’s quite a leap to say that because Flynn was in contact with Russians that they conspired to hack and release damming info on Clinton.
Article raises a few questions:
1) I wonder if Flynn specifically lied about what was being discussed with the Kremlin and how long he’d been talking to them? It seems to me that neither are against the law?
2) Another post talks about the FBI already knowing the answer to the questions they asked Flynn? How in the world would they know this information? Where they spying on Flynn?
3) Why does Flynn have to disclose every single detail of private but not classified talks about Russia to a couple of FBI agents? Flynn was to become the NSA Director.

For the article, published December 13, Mother Jones’ reporters interviewed two Flynn associates who asked for anonymity—and both of them discussed their conversations with Flynn. One of them, according to Corn and Friedman, alleges that Flynn and Kislyak discussed “a grand bargain in which Moscow would cooperate with the Trump Administration to resolve the Syrian conflict and Washington would end or ease up on the sanctions imposed on Russia for its annexation of Crimea and military intervention in Ukraine.”

According to Corn and Friedman, the other Flynn associate alleges that Flynn and Kislyak discussed “Syria, Iran and other foreign policy matters that Russia and the United States could tackle together were Trump to be elected.” A third anonymous source is mentioned in the Mother Jones article as well. That source, Corn and Friedman write, alleges that “Flynn told him he had been in contact with Kislyak about Syria—but without stating whether that was before or after Election Day.”
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the future NSA Director talking post election with other foreign governments. Again solving the problems Iran and Syria pose seems like a good idea?

But Corn and Friedman stress that “had Flynn privately met or communicated with Kislyak during the summer or fall” in 2016, “it would mean Trump’s chief national security aide was secretly interacting with the representative of a foreign power as that government was mounting information and cyber warfare against the United States.”

The timing of this article couldn't be more obvious.

Good points - maybe he looked at Strozk and decided the guy was not trustworthy. I know I would.

I’d put money the 2 sources are part of Special Investigation pushing back on Flynn

Is this the same David Corn that Christopher Steele leaked his dossier to?!?! If so,
Those “Flynn associates” are more likely to be FBI/DOJ/DNC associates who participated in the illegal spying and unlawful FISA database searches on Flynn...

So now doing foreign policy is a crime? This has become ludicrous. Some NJ dem is going after Trump because illegal women said they were called racial slurs at the Trump resort. They will prosecute him for being wealthy next; yet none of them can answer why they leave DC MM millionaires.

Corn is such a deep state gatekeeper that even liberals who knew the 9/11 official story had frickery were dressed down by peeps like him.

quote:that’s him. The same David corn that was in communication right before the election with FBI general counsel James Baker. Probably just discussing knitting patterns. Definitely nothing to see here.

My sources..which are the best...mention that a fake "bargain" was going to be mentioned in order to "Brush the dog" as they put it. Fake news.

They recorded Flynn's conversation with Kislyak. Yates signed off to unmask the US citizen. There was no reason to unmask the American that Kislyak was speaking to. Once they unmasked Flynn they used their info to set up Flynn.
This occurred during the transition. There was no reason to question Flynn about anything because his conversation was not illegal. There were no grounds to "interview" Flynn.
The agents that did interview Flynn felt he was being honest even though he may not have remembered everything he spoke to Kislyak while Flynn was on vacation.
SET UP. THE PEOPLE THAT SHOULD GO TO JAIL ARE THE ONES WHO INTERVIEWED FLYNN AND THE ONES THAT CHANGED THE 302.

They ever find out who unmasked Flynn?

Actually sounds like a good deal. End the Syrian war, get out of Syria actually, and we might think about sanctions.
And why am I supposed to be outraged about this perfectly LEGAL policy discussion?
