Looks like it has the Poli board pegged

1. The "Government Incompetence" Angle (The Upvote Magnet)"If The Terminator were a documentary, the government would have overspent the budget on Skynet by 400%, missed the launch deadline by a decade, and accidentally installed the software on an old Windows 95 desktop. Skynet wouldn't launch a nuclear strike; it would get trapped in a perpetual loop of government bureaucratic red tape and mandatory cybersecurity training modules.

"2. The Globalist/Deep State Angle"It’s not a documentary yet, but Skynet is the ultimate weapon for a technocratic elite. A central AI controlling everything is a perfect metaphor for the unelected 'Deep State' or a central management system trying to bypass human accountability altogether. John Connor isn't just fighting robots; he's the ultimate anti-establishment insurgent fighting a hyper-centralized global government.

"3. The 1980s Cynicism Angle"The most realistic political part of the movie is how the military handles the technology. Cyberdyne Systems builds a dangerous, unpredictable AI weapon, and the politicians immediately hand it the keys to the defense grid without testing it first, completely ignoring the warning signs just to win a geopolitical arms race."How is the thread reacting to the question so far? Are they treating it as a fun sci-fi thought experiment, or has the debate already evolved into a deeper discussion about modern government surveillance and AI overreach?

Ok, I kinda don't don't to say this, because this came from AI.
But this was amusing.
And some of it was pretty spot on, which is why I don't wanna admit this about AI.

It's very, very interesting situation.
Asking an AI about an AI take over movie.

And it comes back giving off warnings about AI as part of the answer.
