The Right to a Speedy Trial in a Criminal Case
A defendant in a criminal case has a right to a speedy trial under the Sixth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. While the Constitution does not define a speedy trial, the federal Speedy Trial Act and state laws provide some guidance on when the right may be violated. In some states, the prosecution has a certain number of days to bring a defendant to trial after they have been arraigned on an indictment. The prosecution may be able to work around the requirement if they can show good cause for a delay, or if the defendant agrees to waive the right. A violation of the speedy trial rule means that any conviction and sentence must be wiped out, and the charges must be dismissed if the case has not reached trial.

Yeah let’s look at a comparison of what we know in two situations here, factually. We can even toss out the backgrounds of both the civilians and look at the rest of it what occurred.
In one case we have a black police officer who has made racially charged social media posts, shoot in the throat and kill an unarmed white female he was trying to subdue. To my knowledge he faces ZERO consequences .
Then we have a white police office whom to my knowledge didn’t even make racist social media posts, kneel on the neck of an unarmed black man whom he was trying to subdue in which he died. The white officer gets every conceivable book thrown at him and is maligned publicly to the hilt and will spend the rest of his days in jail.
Again removing ANY other detail from the two civilians and just taking the absolute facts that I presented, WTF accounts for the disparity in how the two officers have been treated since each incident?

So did the officer. And he violated the Capitol Police’s use of force policy. And instead of facing consequences for violating policy and killing someone in his violation of policy, he has been lauded as a hero.
Rules only apply to the simple folks, the common clay, the people of the land, you know us morons.

Every single jackass who celebrates her death on here was whining about Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin.

Ok, I suspect you’re clowning a bit but never the less, most the public believes this happened and it appeared to happen from what I have seen on video…the point is that we have a glaring example of a modern day two tiered system of justice. It needs to be called out.

Um…that’s not the threshold we use to determine if police shootings are justified. “Uh, he didn’t have a gun on him but he could have.”

I analyzed film and photography professionally and I tell you... IT DID NOT HAPPEN.
What is amazing to me is how many people can see what happened and believe that it DID
plain as the nose on your face
no clowning

If hundreds or even thousands were attacking you would you frisk them all? Circumstances dictated what happened.

No one was attacking that officer. Shut up, bitch.

Her blood was spilled needlessly; with her slayer avoiding any accountability at all.
And not one structure was burnt to the ground, as compared to billions of dollars worth of peoples' livelihoods, aspirations, futures destroyed, as we've witnessed occasionally.
Although written some time ago, Colin Flaherty, a white liberal, was motivated to write his incendiary book White Girl Bleed Alot specifically due to "discrepancies" in justice and highly selective reporting by the media over a long enough period of time that he couldn't ignore it anymore.
But nothing's changed; here's another example of it with this deplorable incident.

Where is your brain? Didn't you watch the video of the rioters attempting to break in the windows and trying to break down the doors? If a group of terrorists were breaking down your door would you shoot them?

Breaking down my door is far different than breaking down the door of a business or government building.
Legally and ethically.
Where’s your brain?
What did Ashli Babbitt do that could be interpreted as a serious threat of imminent physical harm to anyone? Let alone Officer BitchAss Byrd.

Interesting book. Mostly anecdotal stuff. But very representative of our society. I believe he updates It regularly. At least he did.
