People used to call me a xenophobe. Truth is, im not. I just happen to think that America is the best country on earth and all the other countries aren’t as good. That used to be called patriotism

No, progressives in the United States have access to legitimate information, which makes them much worse.

The average Chinese citizen has never met a non-Chinese person and only knows what the CCP allows them to learn.

The ironic thing about this is that Africa will still welcome their money

Africa has zero principles when it comes to this.

Most of the countries are so starved for capital that they don't have the luxury of principles in choosing where the money comes from.

Correct. And Progressives are now openly supporting the CCP.

Why?

PS - Rhetorical question.

These are the fringe and mostly old people over there. Millennials, Gen Xers, and I’m guessing Z (didn’t really know that generation while over there) know what’s up. I’d love to arm the populace to the teeth to overthrow the CCP.

Let China and Russia duke it out for that rock, let’s make the America’s Great Again. If trinket makers want to stay in bat soup land, tariff them to match cost of doing business in America’s and require quarantine/sterilization of all containers entering from Asia

All other essential industries need to move to our continent, and the democratic Asian markets are welcomed as well. If Europe and Africa want to sell their soul to China after seeing how it turned out for us, be my guest

Millennials and Gen Xers actually do. They know what their parents went through under Mao and how much better they have it due to capitalism and western values making its way there. This also terrifies the Chinese government, but there’s not much they can do to stop it.

Although to be fair, they are absolutely as racist as you’ve been led to believe. I would never recommend for a black person to visit China. Sad because after America it is the most beautiful country in the world.

Let me know when its southern or central China.

Northern China is going to be very closely aligned with the CCP.

The dirty little secret of China is that they're not as unified as you may think.

I think once we get past the current mess Trump is going to demonstrate to China that we have some leverage of our own. I doubt he will do anything militarily but we are capable of making things uncomfortable for them economically.

China puts up a bold front but a good deal of that country is third world and we are still superior, especially if we put an end to our own politicians selling us out to them, which I think there is going to be a push in that direction. We can't allow them to get away with this unscathed

Those are the censored numbers. Multiply it at least by 20 and maybe even 40.

Who starves African nations?

Corrupt African leaders.

In the countryside, sure, but the majority of Chinese live in major cities. They’ve just by osmosis met a westerner. Before the pandemic, there were 500,000 foreigners living in Beijing alone.

It’s about to be the Chinese. They’ve bought so much god damn land over there for farming in preparation for global warming that they’re about to take their food when we grab China by the balls after all this. I feel for the Chinese citizens, but the CCP has hell to pay after all this, and unfortunately some of the Chinese are going to starve over this. China will respond to that by taking all the food from the farmland they’ve purchased, and then the Africans will starve.

Wouldn’t be so confident in that assumption. Buddy once spoke to a younger Chinese National and she had never heard of the incident at Tiananmen Square nor seen any of the iconic photos. China has an iron grip on their internet and information flow.

I’m not confident on the Z assumption given they were like 9 when I was over there.

Yeah and they all think Taiwan is part of China, but that’s not exactly what I’m getting at. They see America and the West in movies and realize that we are a free people where the government doesn’t try to hide stuff from us. The government tries to hide all this crap from them, but if there’s one thing the Chinese know how to do, it’s to bootleg and rip stuff off. They know how to work a VPN to get around the government censorship. They are getting exposed to our cultural values whether they know it or not.

Most Chinese know some shite went down in Tiananmen Square provided the extreme amount of censorship that is associated with that topic even if they don’t know the major details. Gen X and Millennials want to join the West. I promise they hate their neighbors way more than they hate the US (at least while I was there).

Interesting. Honestly some of the bigger differences that struck me when I was in Asia kind of went down to a fundamental difference in philosophy, particularly with regards to the entire concept of the individual in the East vs the West, and I’m not sure if that’s something that can be easily bridged.

How long were you in China for?
