I understand that you can be frightened, but you could be just as easily shot at a gas station.

When I am at a gas station I have My CCP and my S&W 9mm on my side. I like my odds better at a gas station.

Think about it...we protect our lawyers, politicians, money (banks), sport venues and airports better than our children...and borders. SMH

MastrShake has obviously gone off the deep end recently when you look at his post history. Arrogant, hate filled posts towards people on the right.

He seems like the kind of person that might need an evaluation so he doesn't hurt others.

BeeFense5 you are right and that is why I feel sorry for him. Living in "socal" he may find himself in need of a gun one day, but it will be to late.

I bet Mastershake will hate this little nugget as well. One of the classes I teach is Law Studies in witch I teach a unit on gun rights and how all Americans should get their CCP.

Stop over-reacting. Are you terrified when you drive home every day? All of this stuff is still extremely rare. Worry about things you can control - like your diet and hugging your kids at night.

150,000 schools in America

These mass school shootings happen about once every 5 years. Columbine 1999, VA Tech 2007, Sandy Hook 2012, Parkland FL 2018.

4 mass shootings in 19 years.

180 school days in a year.

180 school days x 19 years =3420 days

3420 days x 150,000 schools = 513,000,000 possible mass shootings

4 mass shootings / 513,000,000 possible mass shootings = 1/128,250,000 chance on any given day of having a mass shooting at your school

These numbers don't make it any easier if the rare mass shooting is at your school, but being able to understand the true rarity of an event like this should alleviate any concern of it happening at your school on any given day.

I am obviously forgetting a handful, adding those in the occurrence rate is extremely rare. Even if there were 100 mass shootings since Columbine it would mean there is a 1/5,130,000 chance on any given day.

I don't post this to be cold hearted, no kid deserves to die at school. But MSM and social media and politicians make it seem like a mass school shooting is right around the corner for everyone in America.
