Agree with term limits. However, the House reps would barely understand what was going on in 4 years which would result in staff being in charge - kind of what we have with Joe Biden. Plus it would have ZERO chance of ever happening.

IMO, the best approach is to get something in place that would actually get support from most:

House 4 terms = 12 years max

Senate 4 terms = 24 years max

Combined - 24 years max

(think 18 max could get support and would be better)

- then barred for LIFE from being a FEDERAL lobbyist

Supreme Court - 24 years max (18 would be fine), or age 75 - whichever comes first

Age - 75 mandatory retirement for all above, and nobody can run for President after age 70.

I think there could be support for this, which is FAR better than what we have now.

The cutoff age for being able to hold federal public office needs to be 70.

It's amazing how fast these folks can deteriorate.

Here he is at a spry 78 speaking at the RNC emphatically endorsing Trump as he is about to win re-election as "Cocaine Mitch" and with a great internet army behind him. He has some signs of age in there but he speaks clearly and forcefully and with some makeup you would think he was younger than he actually is.

So glad this can never happen to Trump, he is Superman and age doesn't exist for him.

BTW, Bill Clinton is younger than either Trump or Biden (obviously). Lunacy.

The fact that we still have major presidential candidates old enough to have the "draft-dodger" accusation hurled at them is sad, especially since the draft was abolished in 1973.

Been saying it for years, the older generation held on too long and bypassed the folks in the middle.

We will go from the Boomers right to the Melinials and hasten the US decline

If Gen-X would lead the way in uniting behind one of their own, DeSantis, that would change.

Gen X is only 20% of the population. We are by far the most conservative at +14 (Boomers are +3) but we are outnumbered by the Boomer/Millennial vortex that likes to vote for people based on feels.
