I wonder what Our President was able to leverage out of the Dems that he couldn't get out of Cuck Ryan and Mitch The Bitch.

Yes this is in no way a tactical error. It is a deep 9-d underwater strategic move that will ultimately get democrats to forget they hate trump and suddenly adopt his proposals instead of being the resistance.

Because frick Paul Ryan amirite?

Yes, how dare a president work with anyone but his own party to try and get something (anything) done in congress.

Trump absolutely crushed Ben Sasse and Paul Ryan in one big crushing blow with this. Quite honestly this was something that Trump had to do on many levels as it signals if the Republicans won't play ball then I'll move over to the other side and let them win so pick your poison Republican leadership.

Pretty much yeah. TRUMP has been threatening to work with the Democrats if the Republicans don't come around to his position on things but threats are no good if they don't think you will follow through.

This is just TRUMP showing the Republicans he will follow through on his threats and why not do it on something short term? Something that's short term plus gets hurricane relief? It's good PR and next time the Republicans will know TRUMP is serious and will work with the Dems if they don't come around to TRUMP'S position.

Yes I am sure the Dems will love to keep working with Trump...as long as he folds like a cheap suit and gives them everything they wanted with NOTHING in return.

Moar winning!

I try to call it like I see it.

Sometimes that means defending Trump against stupid, overwrought attacks. Sometimes that means cheering his campaign against SJWs and the media.

And sometimes it means calling out his supporters (really more than him tbh) about their delusions.

The last one is often the most fun!

I feel the same way. The mental gymnastics to support every single thing he changes his mind on is something to see on this board. I'm in line with ~70% of the agenda it's just the incompetence I can't handle sometimes. Nobody can tell me this was a great deal, even for the Dems? Should read the article I posted earlier about how Trump likes Schumer more than Ryan or McConnell.

It's really not that hard. You have to be somewhat flexible in order to make deals. You're never going to get 100% of what you want on anything and if everybody just stuck to the same positions they've had since day 1 nothing would ever get done.

The democrats have very little power right now but the disjointed Republican Party has created an system where one would think the Democrats are in charge. Bottom line is Pelosi/Schumer needed a win badly and the Republican leadership is deluded with images of grandeur in an internal power play that shows nothing but incompetence and egoism.

The Republicans aren't getting shite done and Trump can no longer rely on them to get anything passed so give the Dems a bone, scare the shite out of the Republican leadership, and take the win.

Tying the bill to Hurricane relief also will help Trump solidify a quick response in the critical states of Florida, Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina for the 2020 election.

And lastly but more importantly it helps simmer down the crazy racial division crap the Democrats have spewed out against Trump.

Best of all, they don't get to come back and make mischief in December. Checkmate.

Used to be what everybody on this board wanted. Then came Stone Cold Steve Trump, and now everybody wants deals.
