Several of us have our neighborhood covered. I have the first 150 yards clear view of entrance and side yards.neighbor has 400 yards to my house and dormer view of front entrance and side yards. Thus repeats to the other side of our neighborhood in various locations.

That’s not enough but it’ll get some of them.

Nope. It would be very easy for small groups of terrorist spread out in various big cities across the country to execute simultaneous attacks in schools, on freeways, subways, etc. and cause massive chaos and panic. No way to "defend" that outside of armed citizens taking immidiate action.
