I have a cousin whose wife’s nephews neighbor is employed by the DOT and he said they are currently building trebuchets to hurl them back over the wall

It would be cruel to separate children from their families.

Can someone please explain how it doesn’t make perfect sense to deport the entire family together?

Not yet. No rush to deport them because they are small and easier to catch.
