AOC is an excellent demonstration of the appeal of "good intentions".

She sells good intentions well. She argues from the morally superior point of view. Why would you want people to starve? It is wrong to deny people healthcare. People deserve a living wage. How can you deny our children an education? Why don't you want a clean planet?
But her ideas are disastrous once you think about her ideas a picometer deep.
In summary she is promoting the socialists state where the government enforces equal outcomes.
Note to people that are sympathetic to socialism.
Mao ran a socialist government.
Hitler ran a socialist government.
Stalin ran a socialist government.
Castro ran a socialist government.
Chavez ran a socialist government.
Xi runs a socialist government.
Un runs a socialist government.
What is the the common theme under these governments?
Death...lots of it.
and
Suppression of speech...speak out against the government and you get thrown under the jail never to be heard from again.
This is what AOC is promoting with her "good intentions".
It's a talent. A talent many murders have used quite effectively in the past.
The antidote to death caused by scarcity and the suppression of speech by government is abundance gained through liberty, private property and freedom of association, AKA capitalism.
It's not that complicated.
But her ideas are disastrous once you think about her ideas a picometer deep.

It's the natural progression driven by human nature. We have a strong nature to control things. The stronger of our species will control the weaker. Liberty to soft socialism/tyranny to communism/ hard tyranny is just the natural human progression of the innate desire for control. It needs to be fought against every step of the way.

She is an idealist, really. If you’re a socialist, fine, but it is very idealogical and hard to get right and it’s not supported here. I think she is an annoying troll, and has no idea how far fetched her ideas are.

I love the fact that Her, along with a small group of similar minded politicians, showed their true colors and complete misunderstanding of economics and Tax subsidies work

Think of the economic impact from the jobs and pay. I think income tax is pretty high in NY,not sure...but hey, you drove that greedy company away and you CELEBRATED it!
I'm sure if Amazon goes to Dallas, it will have no impact and will only take advantage of Texas.
Is there a better example of the radical left (which is controlling the dem party) being completely out of touch with its base and the American people?
