I am about at the don't care point. There is no excuse for what the rioters are doing. We are light years ahead of 1950's 1960's This is pure crap and hurting good people and their work and businesses. I am done with it.

I agree, most of them are taking advantage of an opportunity to fulfill their anarchist fantasies under the guise of protest.

But how do you make a snap decision about who to shoot and who not to shoot? You can't shoot everyone. And they don't exactly separate into factions.

Cops murdering civilians set this off. Cops not arresting cops set this off. This is just the one that caught fire, cops have been getting away with murder and abuse for far too long. The police state needs a complete reset with 100% new personnel modeled after our fire response system. This will need to accompany the elimination of all victimless crime.

Because that’s what has been happening so far?

We wouldn’t even be having this discussion if it were.

Then call for more arrests, tear gas, firetruck hoses, whatever. Call for more arrests. Call for riot police. Shields, batons, the works.

But again, OP said "I mean, enough. Die already."

We can't send police or the national guard in to exterminate Americans.

I would shoot the rioters.

That depends on how much ammunition you have, if the rioters run, etc. I say give it the good ole college try. If nothing else, you could make a good start at shooting all of them. I'm still hoping that law enforcement will do their job so the law-abiding citizens don't have to do it for them.

One is a temporary solution one is a more permanent position.

And in a couple generations folks will not even remember it. Hell people today think the saying “good Lord willing and the Creeks don’t rise” is about water.

Their rights do not supersede those of the property owners and people trying to go about their daily lives.

Again, your way hasn’t been working. These are violent criminals threatening the livelihoods of law abiding Americans.

Okay, so have the government put their fist down and come in and kill a bunch of citizens to prove a point? This is something you want?

This is coming dangerously close to Trump's comments on Tienanmen Square.

quote:

"When the students poured into Tiananmen Square, the Chinese government almost blew it. Then they were vicious, they were horrible, but they put it down with strength," Trump replied. "That shows you the power of strength. Our country is right now perceived as weak...as being spit on by the rest of the world."

They will be intermixed with legitimate protestors, including non-violent ones. You can't just snipe the rioters and know who is who.

Anybody on the street 4 days into this shite is not a "legitimate protester".

This is like a teacher going in a class for the first time and trying to be their friend. It doesn’t work and then it is twice as hard to gain control.

Police and National Guard are going to have to end this with violence. I know it doesn’t sound good but that is what it is going to take.

If the 'protestors' are stupid enough to intermingle with 'rioters' then they should be shot as accomplices.

Simple- allow protestors to march and chant. That's a protest.

Once it starts turning to violence and property damage, it's not a protest. It's a rampaging mob of lawless rioters.

People are upset about a cop killing a man, in Minnesota.
Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, etc- these are not the same police department. The cops there don't know that cop in Minny.
Target, Home Depot, the Post Office, these aren't the police. These are places of business and provide goods and services to everyone, including the protesters. They have zero to do with what happened.

I mean, let's say my neighbor poisons my dog. This doesn't justify me burning someone's car down the street. Nor does it justify YOU attacking YOUR neighbor just "out of solidarity".
