Anybody here succesfully flip someone from D to R?

I just got a text from my 33-year-old liberal, vegan cousin in Chicago who voted for Jill Stein in 2016. He just told me he voted R for the first time today in my honor because "the socialists keep getting crazier every year." 
I also flipped my gf (no pics) from Hilldawg voter to voting R down the ballot.
Yes, get out there and vote. But also get out there and be respectful of other opinions and unabashedly conservative, and you can change people's minds. Take a sledgehammer to the echochambers!

I've slowly pushed my ole lady from emotionally driven swing voter to a pretty solid R. She was never a lib, so I can't claim I have converted a D, but I certainly made her see the light a little more clearly.

No D to R, but I got my roommate who's determined to be a center/swing vote to vote for Ted Cruz. He was flirting with idea of voting for Beto put I steered him clear of the queer.

No but my wife who was a non voter until 2016 when she specifically registered to vote for Trump. She was lukewarm about the midterms until the Kavanaugh saga and early voted straight R and canceled out some of my D votes (for county commission, etc. not for national seats).

Yep ... today my very elderly Mother In Law flipped from an old school Southern Democrat to a Republican, first time in her life.
She said it was because of me, her grandchildren ... and because she hates Joy Bahar on The View.
She'll be 90 years old in a few months and I took her with me to the voting station, along with my youngest Son who came home from college to vote today ... and she was proud of her choice.
