Or just to use during natural disasters, etc. Need to purchase them now. Jackery is having a huge sale that ends today. I’ve used Jackery products for years and just purchased another Explorer 1000 for $330 off.

Maybe not the correct board for this post, but I know many of you are looking to prepare yourselves and these power stations are fantastic.

They’re great for all sorts of purposes. Every model comes with pass through charging, so you can charge or power whatever you want while also charging the power station.

Anyone have one? Are they solid and worth the premium?

I have several. I power everything from lights to a fridge style cooler. Jackery has the best warranty of the three major brands, but I’ve never had to use it.

They are good products. There are several on sale for Prime Day on Amazon right now too.

What kind of load can they handle and how long will they sustain a load?

I set a disabled buddy up with a 12v marine battery and a cheap Black and Decker inverter after Michael came through Panama City.

He was able to power his television, run some lights, run a fan, and recharge device batteries. Of course no refrigerator though.

I would go switch batteries every couple of days.

A small inverter and a cheap, over the air television antenna are a couple of very good items to have in your kit.

I’ve used the 1000 model to power an Iceco fridge cooler for 12 hours straight. I’ve never come close to running it at max capacity of 1000w output so I couldn’t tell you how long it would last using it like that. I can tell you that it’s never failed to power what I need it to for extended periods.

Did you really just downvote every post in here?

This device is likely too heavy for you to carry so don’t worry about the warranty.

I had a similar set up on a chicken coop one winter for heat lamps to improve egg production and the thing blew up on me

Not saying it can’t work, just be careful doing that.
