Energy Secretary Rick Perry announced a plan Friday to reorganize the agency toward President Trump's "energy dominance" agenda, undoing the changes made under the Obama administration to focus on clean energy. “This new structure will support American energy dominance, enhance our energy and national security, and improve outcomes in environmental management while ensuring DOE remains the leader in scientific innovation,” Perry said. Under the new plan, the current office of Undersecretary for Science and Energy, which was established in 2013 by former Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz, will be split into two separate undersecretary positions, "so that there will once again be three under secretaries," the agency said. Those three posts include: the under secretary of energy, the under secretary for science, and the under secretary for nuclear security and nuclear administration. The agency said restoring the posts "is consistent with DOE’s statutory mandate."

Damn proggies, by the time Trump is done with your boi's "legacy," it'll fit into one of these:

Texas flourished under Perry's reign as Gov and hope that continues soon in his DOE role. Need that oil price to increase though. Sorry baws.

Saudi and UAE are both diversifying like a MF. Their Vision 2030 is a pretty solid plan with renewables, etc.

Wait so am i to understand correctly that BO reduced three under secretary positions into one?

One of those positions compacted down into one authority being the DoE’s nuclear admin and security duties?

You know... the person who would have been involved in approval/disapproval allowing the Russians to buy a company with ownership of roughly 1/5th our uranium?

Phew for a second I was worried reversing Obama's legacy might involve reducing the bureaucracy.

Always figured Perry was a "bottom". Looks like he's positioning himself as a "topper" nowdays.

I'm celebrating while brushing my teeth while letting the water run the whole time, with both SUVs warming up in the driveway, with all the lights are on, while leaving the refrigerator door open . . . .

And running with scissors

Still can’t believe obama subsidized like 32 clean energy companies that all went bankrupt and it never made national news.

I knew Rick Perry would be a great pick to help move the economy forward..."lean forward" would be a good way of thinking about all the progress we're making.

Lost me right there. Government isn't supposed to innovate and they are just plain terrible at it.

I am for energy dominance. That is a good thing. Where I sense Trump and the administration is off is that the world is moving fast on renewable energy, and we are not from the Oval office helping to drive this with gradual shifts from hydrocarbons (natural gas being the primary transition fuel). Clean energy will revolutionize like did the Internet. This current administration is going to let China and Europe outflank us.

And the previous administration did nothing but throw money at companies who all went under.
