He’s right. He equated it to an awesome party which happened organically, and then trying to recreate the organic and new feel.
Trump has to get out on the trail, hype his accomplishments, get off Twitter, get to work. The debates are next. No way Joe makes it through.

The chicago rally changed things for me. It gave me a ton of pause and it was something I stewed on for months until after the primaries were over and I resolved to vote for Trump then.

It's a negative feedback loop he's trying to avoid, because he's seen that he's powerless to make the kinds of bold changes he ran on, and if he can't follow through on stopping these terrorists and their enablers, he's going to look worse.
Trump is relying on people "trusting sessions" and hyping him for fear that if they don't, Biden will be elected and this will get worse. That's the safest play for him. Unfortunately, that kind of energy won't get people out to the polls like he desperately needs. The demographics have shifted. Democrats have tirelessly worked to topple the tiny strongholds that Trump had in 16, and create an atmosphere of fear around supporting the president in public.
We are over the edge of the tipping point now. The only big executive branch question I have is whether the left wing machine can cool the tea kettle if Biden wins. I suspect they probably will, to a degree, and just keep burying us under policy and with their secret police.
