Bethel has actually pulled ahead by a bit more in last update. Marxist was within 2 but Bethel has pushed to almost 3 now.

I’m good with it save for Kelvin King, i was hoping for better results there.

Yea that’s a disappointment.

Rattfricker got his arse kicked…bad.
And what’s the deal with Kesha Bottoms?
Is she going to win the general election?

A failed Atlanta mayor who worked for Biden.
I’ll gladly take her as the Democrat candidate.

I’m happy for Charlie Bethel.
It would have been a shame to replace a honorable, smart justice with another Ketanji Brown Jackson.
Hopefully those Marxist Court candidates get severely reprimanded or suspended by the Georgia Bar.

In other news, we MUST change the date for nonpartisan one-shot elections to be on the general election date, not during a primary where there's guaranteed to be awful turnout.

Agreed.
I was really concerned that was going to frick us.

Alright guys, it's primary runoff day here in Georgia!
Get out and vote if you haven't done so already. I am heading out in about a half hour to do so.
Here are the runoffs. The winners of these races will be the Republican nominees that will face off against the Democrats in November.
Some considerations... you of course want to vote for the candidate you like the most. But you also need to consider, to whatever degree you weigh it, how well the candidate will do against the Democrat in November.
You can view my first several posts on the first page for a breakdown of most every candidate. You can also view my post either above or on previous page for numbers results for the previous election about a month ago.
This is from a Republican perspective. Again, Democrats, you are welcome to make your contributions regarding your candidates.
With all that in mind...
UNITED STATES SENATOR
Mike Collins
Derek Dooley
GOVERNOR
Rick Jackson
Burt Jones
LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR
Greg Dolezal
John Kennedy
SECRETARY OF STATE
Tim Fleming
Vernon Jones
SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT
Fred Longrear
Richard Woods
PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSIONER
Bobby Mehan
Josh Tolbert
There may be other runoffs for US Congressional House Districts. Mine is District 11:
UNITED STATES REPRESENTATIVE
Rob Adkerson
John Cowan
Some of my own thoughts...
Collins is an easy choice for me for Senator. I don't know Dooley or what he stands for and he speaks in vague generalities. He ha him hawed around importation questions like immigration enforcement. Dooley is backed by Kemp and has good funding though. I expect Collins to win as I think most of Buddy Carter's votes to go to Collins. I'm not sure where Dooley is going to pick up a lot more votes. But you never know for sure.
Governor has been a tough one. It's Burt Jones for me. My thoughts are expressed on the first page. This will be close, I think, probably within 5 points maybe. I think Jackson has a good chance of taking it because I see most all of Carr and Ratfricker's votes going to him. I'm not sure where Burt Jones is getting a lot more of his votes to make up for Jackson getting the #s 3 and 4 guys' votes. I don't like Carr and his coming out strong against Burt Jones, running a lot of commercials and saying he would open a criminal investigation into him if he wasn't running for governor have turned me away from Jackson. Jackson acts like a newcomer, says he's an outsider, but he's been a political string puller in the shadows for many, many years. Burt Jones is probably shady. But Jackson is probably shady as well. Jackson said "I don't know" when asked directly if he employs illegals.
Lieutenant Governor is a tough one too. Do you go for the in your face street fighter Dolezal or do you go for the polite, genteel Kennedy? I'm voting for Dolezal but I understand voting for Kennedy. Most of my family is voting for Kennedy.
Secretary of State. This is a serious job. Secretary of State runs our businesses, commerce, and elections. I'm disappointed because who I think was the class of this race, Kelvin King, didn't make the runoff. Do you vote for the shadowy figure who refuses to answer questions, Fleming, or do you vote for the grifter, Vernon Jones? I'm not crazy about Fleming. He refused to answer any questions or participate in any debates. He was Kemp's chief of staff when he was at Secretary of State, his chief of staff when he first became governor, then ran for Georgia Assembly. He is experienced. And while we have legitimate, serious complaints about election integrity and security, Kemp did give us photo ID and scrubbed the voter roles. Remember MLB pulling the All-State game because of this? Jim Crow 2.0? So while Kemp and Fleming didn't do everything, they did stop us from becoming California. And Fleming did not work for Ratfricker. Vernon Jones, I just don't know if he is a serious enough person for this very important job. So Fleming it is.
School Superintendent, Woods.
Public Service Commissioner, Tolbert. Sharp guy, engineer.
US Representative, probably Cowan. I'm not high on him but he seems to look and talk the best. I know some people have good things to say about Adkerson so I understand choosing him.
Vote!

Chris Carr and the rest of the GA swamp rallying around Jackson speaks volumes to me. frick that.
The false premise that Jackson would be a better choice at governor because he is from outside of politics... while surrounding himself with GA swampers should be a giant red flag. His commercials have been profoundly dishonest - implying endorsements from Trump & Kemp when they were never made, using footage from Jones describing donor Jackson (before Jackson declared himself a candidate), etc. is about as slimy and dishonest as you can get.

Yep.
People have told me, 'oh you don't want Burt Jones because Democrats will hit him with accusations of corruption and self enrichment!" I am quite sure the Democrats will do the same accusations against the billionaire Jackson. Moreover, Democrats are going to preach a two pronged message all year long on the campaign: affordability and class warfare. Choosing a billionaire as your candidate in these times right now seems to play right into their hands.
I also think Burt Jones hit Jackson pretty good on illegal immigration when he backed Jackson into a corner and made him refuse to admit whether or not he employs illegals.
Posted on 6/16/26 at 11:24 am to LuckyTiger
Trying to hit Jones for corruption because his family owns successful businesses and voting for Jackson because of... successful businesses makes zero sense.
At least Jones Petroleum is here in Georgia. Jackson made most of his money out of state. The illegal alien hiring boondoggle and the Medicare/Medicaid fraud allegations are a pretty damning combo.

The story that appears to have gone under the radar, despite every candidate and their brother talking *around* it, is the demonization of the AI data center issues.
We're currently in an arms race with China for AI supremacy, and the data centers are the 2020s equivalent of ICBM missile silos. I don't know that they're the best thing in the world, and I certainly wouldn't want to live next door to one, but it may very well be a necessary evil in today's age.
The effort to make the data centers De Debil has been noticed, for sure.
Now, do I think we should all pay higher rates from Georgia Power as a result of the data centers sucking up significantly more electricity than residences and commercial businesses? Absolutely not. It should be a foregone conclusion that they should pay their own way with respect to power consumption.
Now, if they want to get together and pay for new power plants that would serve the data centers exclusively - then we can talk.
