He's got my vote based on his statement and NOT being a politician or lawyer!

Just curious but isn’t running for governor a step down from US Senator? Is Tommy trying to run for POTUS and wants executive experience?

Senator Pearl. That would be fun. Tuberville said Pearl won't run because he would have to take a significant pay cut. Plus all Bruce Pearl has to do is keep his nose clean, have half way decent teams ever year and he will be at Auburn forever he wants to be there.,

I don't think he will ever run for president, he is 70 years old. I've heard that Tuberville hates DC and is not fond of being a senator because it is almost impossible to get anything of significance done. Where as a governor he will have the power to make a difference in the state of Alabama.

Plus, my own theory, he was a State of Alabama employee (Auburn) for only 8 years, it takes 10 years of Alabama state employment to be eligible for Alabama state retirement.

Here is good link about the difference of being a governor and U.S. senator (It's an easy and short read):

This. Unfortunately there’s enough blue hairs that still think Shelby was the greatest and will blindly vote for whoever mama bear throws her support behind.
