.@danprimack: Is there a point at which kids' lost education isn't recoverable?

AFT president @rweingarten: "No, I don't believe that. I believe that kids are resilient and kids will recover. But we as adults have to meet their needs."

What is not covered in this idiot’s answer - Getting behind means major catch-up which may not be possible past a point.

Hence all the problem children who get socially promoted all the way up through HS who have no fricking clue how to do basic shite, let alone HS level work.

A ton of kids have lost a year and a half of education and there’s no getting it back. Period.

To add context, Amish elementary schools are taught by junior high school girls. The kids score among the top of the states mandatory testing.
