Abbott made the announcement in a press release that the migrants had been bussed from Texas to Denver and dropped off in the city's downtown area.
"Texas' overwhelmed and overrun border communities should not have to shoulder the flood of illegal immigration due to President Biden's reckless open border policies, like his mass catch and release without court dates or any way to track them," Abbott said in the release. "Until the President and his Administration step up and fulfill their constitutional duty to secure the border, the State of Texas will continue busing migrants to self-declared sanctuary cities like Denver to provide much-needed relief to our small border towns."

If Abbott was serious instead of playing political games, he would declare an invasion as legally allowed by both the US and Tx constitution and close the border using those 18,000 Tx national guardsmen. But no, he would rather pretend he is doing something while in front of the cameras.

He needs to line busses up at the border and put a different state name on the back of each one - Autobús a Colorado, Autobús a New York, etc. Only have them blue states and he can say he didn’t force them to those states, they chose those buses.

Abbott cannot legally do that. The border security is a federal issue, not a state issue. All Abbott can do is keep people from "getting away" without getting "processed" so that it minimizes the terrorists getting into the country.
