I appreciate the response but what good is compromise if it leads to a worsening of the nation? Best to have gridlock than a continued slide to what we are seeing today.

A true swamp creature. But he was a master of Senate rules and gave us a conservative SCOTUS which has done things like outlaw affirmative action in college admissions. My kids might actually be able to be admitted into elite colleges and universities one day.
Thus, I salute the Turtle. I just wish he and his family had acknowledged that it was time for him to step down a while ago.
