It doesn't matter what the crisis is, but rather how they are in position to survive the crisis. The same thing happened in the 2008 housing market. Businesses that were over leveraged or had expanded too quickly didn't make it. They didn't have enough cash and it put them out of business. Every real estate business I knew that survived had access to the cash they needed until the market picked back up. Those that didn't weren't around very long.
