Or, politicians could do what they are elected to do and NOT allow the government to shut down.

That is a bigger issue than federal employees not saving money, especially since the politicians still get paid.

Essential employees probably don't qualify because they are working.

So that you know, in many offices only a very small percentage are classified as “essential” and production plunges when the others are sent home.

And if you are an essential employee who has to work but will not get paid for it? Dont have that in the private sector
