I like hearing from real people who are willing to put their rep on the line
There is a middle class tone going on tonight. It must be driving the Democrats nuts. They think that they own the middle class. I always thought that the republicans missed an opportunity to cater to middle class Americans with guys like Romney and even Bush who comes from privilege.
Trump comes from privilege too but he’s had a job and created jobs. Guys like a Romney and Bush seem aloof. They don’t know the cost of lumber or concrete. Trump can probably tell you the price without even looking it up.
People can relate to it.

Yes - vegetarians and people that find hunting “barbaric” and think cow farts will ruin the environment are squarely on the right. I stand corrected

I strongly disagree on Bush seeming aloof. The main reason he won in 2004 was because he was seen as a normal guy. He easily won the oft mentioned "I'd like to have a beer with him" question. Now, Bush's foreign policy was horrible but he was not a Romney.
