JD just had to add on after Trump was finished with a point and tried to make it seem like Z never tried diplomacy. This is when Z pointed out that they signed gas contract with Russia and a cease fire that Russia broke and that's when shite got out of hand.
Z should have just grinned and bared it, but JD wasn't adding anything and that's what initiated the yelling matches.

It's completely relevant to the narrative that "Ukraine never tried to negotiate peace".
They did, and things worked out how they have, so they've learned that there's no point trying to negotiate peace with Russia. That's the point Z was trying to make. Again, he shouldn't have engaged, but neither should have JD.
