Not saying they aren't a good school. But part of that #1 ranking is the past students. 60 noble laureates and the high earnings of graduates. But they have a direct pipeline to silicon valley.

So it's not for anything they are doing right now.


These rankings also have a lot of past bias.

So the prestige of Berkeley is why someone would vote one of their programs higher than someone else. No facts involved, just name recognition.

That shows how suspect many rankings are.
