Yes. It goes without saying that every soldier should be treated the same.
They aren't treated the same. Separate bathrooms, different PT standards, different dress codes, etc.

I can only say that I respect your opinion even though it's counter to my own.
Did you check that thread out? It isn't just my opinion. I know a lot of female Marines that we worked with on the FET teams as well. Many happily admitted they wouldn't make it on one of the teams. I've never met a woman that I would want on my team, and that's not being misogynistic.

I remember when talk of the CFT started. I was excited for something better than the PFT to weed people out before indoc. That obviously didn't happen. First time I took it, they were very clear about finding someone your size for a buddy. How the frick is that an accurate assessment of anyone's combat fitness?
Right? If you didn't score at least a 290 then you weren't trying.

doesn't the equal protection clause guarantee women/trannies the right to be on the frontlines if they pass all the necessary tests and trials?
No

Separate bathrooms
Don't have a problem with this.

Should be uniform regardless of gender.

Sometimes we'd run them, and PFTs, with the analysts and nerds in our battalion. I remember laughing my arse off when a dude could barely lift the ammo can after 70 or so reps.

Which goes to NSBM's point of why waste time on getting 100 out of 1000 when you can easily get 900 out of 1000?

Would be fine by me if at the current standard. It would naturally return the military to almost all male.

Do you believe this will ever happen?
Yes, it has to. Political and social evolution over the past 50 years has been strongly driven by the Constitution. Solutions for some problems, such as equality of opportunity, have created other problems, of course. One of them is our military.
I think the solution to this problem is to establish a stronger weeding out process for those who want to join the military. By stronger I don't mean more limiting. Rather, more attention should be paid to basic training. Everyone who wants to "try out for the team" should be assessed but there should be no de facto quotas for any groups and only one standard for physical qualification. If those who want to join just for personal reasons, like some transgenders who want to use the military to pay for their transitioning, get weeded out early then they won't cause turmoil within the ranks, for example.

Excellent troll

Gonna have to pull out the crystal ball for that one, Eisenhower

They came out with new "tougher" PFT/CFT standards this year that dropped many Marines down from 1st class to 2nd.

I've always wanted standards to go up, especially for our PFT and CFT. A dude that can only do two pull ups should go join the Army instead.

Therefore the discussion. What is versus what should be, and can be. It's time for the military to adjust back to the demanding roles that have made America's forces the most elite in the world (this was for northshorebamaman).

These two ideas are contradictory.

Then that would exclude women

I did. As I said, I respect your opinion but I, as do many others, have a different opinion. Mine is based upon the Constitution and it's demands that we extend its rights to every citizen who qualifies. The Constitution doesn't establish those qualifications, just that they be set and fair.

The discussion of standards and separate bathrooms and uniforms is the most talked about topics when it comes to woman serving in the military. We seem to forget that we send our boys to some of the most fricked up places on the planet. The rest of the world does not value he same level of equality that we do. We have been operating in moose limb countries for over 15 years. These dirt turkeys will not follow or listen to a woman.
I had a team leader in Afghanistan that couldn't grow a beard. The Afghans mocked and ridiculed him. Do you really think they would have listened to or fought side by side with someone who they look at as basic livestock? This scenario doesn't just apply to Islamic nations either.

Because under the EP Clause there are different tests to determine Constitutionality. For strict scrutiny, you need a highly protected class or fundamental right. Trans are not a protected class and there is no fundamental right to serve.
It would undergo an intermediate test
