Regardless of what we think of woman/trangenders as combat units, doesn't the equal protection clause guarantee women/trannies the right to be on the frontlines if they pass all the necessary tests and trials?

Does it require them to be draft eligible?

The military is not a democracy.
The military is not meant to be an equal opportunity employer. It exists to safeguard the lives and interests of the American people.
Putting someone who is not physically qualified into combat can jeopardize that person and that person's unit.

The key term in your statement is "equal opportunity." Every American should have the opportunity to serve. Whether he or she can meet the demands of that service is an entirely different issue. To dismiss half of the population because of gender is foolish.
Not every man can meet the demands of military life. More men than women can, however. But many women can and should be given the opportunity to serve, even on the front lines.

Noone has the right to serve, ppl are turned away daily for many reasons.
I had a buddy who tried to go in with me got turned away for tubes in his ears. Bottomline these ppl are using the Military to transition on our dime and its not right. Plus they are non deployable while going through their process, and in that case alone should be turned away.

How do you feel about different pt standards for male and female soldiers?

There should be only one criteria = "does this person help or hinder our ability to close with and capture or kill the enemy?" including things like unit cohesiveness, training, and expense of housing, medical treatment, etc..
Why should the military spend $.01 on something that does not directly lead to better combat effectiveness?

the equal protection clause
The worst thing ever put into the Constitution. The most vague, ambiguous, nonsensical bullshite of all time. I curse the 14th Amendment.

The Constitution won't survive if the military can't protect it from an enemy who wants to destroy it.

17th amendment.
Without it, big government, nanny state bullshite like our modern day massive welfare state and overgrown police state overreach would have never become reality.
State governments have zero hard power over DC right now thanks to the 17th and we've been worse off since.

I don't think military service is a right.
It is not about you at all, it is about protecting our nation.

There's no right to be in the military period so this navel-gazing OP is rather worthless.

Absolutely not! These standards define soldier and shouldn't be changed.
Not all men can meet these standards but that doesn't mean that no woman can. In the continuum between men and women there's a midpoint. On one side of the point are most men and on the other are most women. There are some men and some women on the other sides, however.
Everyone should have the opportunity to try to meet the standards. There's no such thing as equality of the sexes but there is an overlap of their abilities.

Of course not, but the opportunity to try is.

Because you're discounting potential military talent because of sex organs.
