H1B and not green card impacts outsourcing. I don't know whether you realize this or not the Indian outsourcers are actually against this bill. the Green card backlog let's all these Indian IT consulting companies to hold on to their talent at a cheap price because those employees are stuck with those employers. When you get green card you get mobility meaning the Indian outsourcers will not be able to exploit those H-1B visa workers anymore.
I do completely agree with you that H1B Visa needs a lot of reforms. But that is a separate issue and has nothing to do with this bill.

Serious question... Why is a person from Iceland more worthy of getting a faster Green card than me an Indian? I've been waiting in the line for 10 years. Why do they get to cut the line? Why do you think that is okay?

The issue with this bill is it adds 75,000 more per year to immigration. That's 75K less jobs to the American citizen.

Short answer?
Western nations assimilate quicker and its easier to vet people from smaller 1st world nation than a 3rd world nation of billions wrought with corruption and low standards of healthcare. India still has polio and leprosy, think we are just going to fast track you on in here permanently without doing some extra digging? India has millions of Muslims, China has billions of communist and is known for spying and theft of technology.

I'm not sure what do you mean. You're legally allowed to work in United States even if you don't have a green card. I am on a work visa and waiting for a green card which my employer filed 10 years back.

Because there are far fewer of them for one.
Indians, other than motel and convenience store owners, are primarily in IT. Putting such a large percentage of our IT work into the hands of those from a foreign country, a country with a population far far larger than ours, is bad business long term.

Also, India has polio and leprosy, and African countries don't? How come there is no restrictions on green cards from people from Sierra Leone and Liberia the countries that were ravaged by Ebola as recently as two years back? Indian need more vetting, and Saudis and Pakistanis don't? Malaysia is the largest Muslim country and they don't have to wait for green cards. None of your arguments make any sense.
