Horrible for the child who was just being used by "adults", but do they donate service to families of 11 year olds who die of Cancer, whose adults in their lives didn't invite it?
Who should be held 110% responsible here is the school/organizers"!
ETA: Wondering if the parents are even consulted for permission prior to these stunt organizers sucking in innocent children?

I don't think schools are urging kids to walk out on 4/20.

If they are then they should be liable too.

That's how the school will eventually deflect the blame. They'll blame the kid.

Reality is, those kids should've been in school. They should've been protected. That school fricked up. They allowed and/or endorsed a school walkout...and they didn't keep an eye on the kids. An 11yr old should've been a couple ft from an adult at any given time, during that walkout.

Seems like he and a group of students used the walkout to leave campus and go to a park.

El Paso Times
quote:

Ysleta Independent School District Superintendent Xavier De La Torre said the boy was with a group of about 12 to 15 students who used the National School Walkout as a way to leave Parkland Middle to go to a park.

quote:

The student was hit while crossing the highway during the walkout, but was not participating in the walkout, De La Torre said.

It was “a separate, isolated event of a group of students” who left the school as other students protested gun violence, he said.

quote:

De La Torre said school officials are trying to determine why the students left campus. He said staff was posted at the front and back of the school, but the six-grader and the students with him left by a side.

Want to know the really crazy part:
quote:

he accident occurred on Loop 375 North near Bormac Street, El Paso police said via Twitter. The boy was taken to University Medical Center of El Paso.

The section of Loop 375 has two southbound lanes and two northbound lanes. Bormac Street crosses under the highway less than a block from where the pedestrian accident occurred.

I wonder if anyone has tweeted David Hogg about this to let him know he's now a murderer.
