Need a good, aftermarket backup camera for an F-150. I want one that mounts, and that doesn't require you to drill a hole in your bumper. From the research that I've done, many of them have problems with getting moisture behind the lens or have visibility issues at night. Would like to know which ones to avoid or consider. TIA.

What year? I'd recommend the factory one for the 2009-2014 that's mounted in the Ford oval.

for OEM style mentioned above, check out: LINK

You'll also need a monitor in the dash or rear view mirror. I bought a camera from them last year, works great.

Costco has/had a Tadi(?) wireless camera kit (camera and monitor) - saw it on the shelf last week.

2014. I assume that's one you'd get the dealership to install? I think the salesperson said they were $500.

Yeah, I'd heard that Costco had them, but I wonder about the quality.

Just get the parts and do it yourself. Check some of the forums for used parts, or dealers like Tasca for discounted new parts.

When I had my 2012, I really preferred having the camera screen in the rearview mirror as opposed to the ones that show up in the dash. Ity allowed you to still pay attention the old fashioned way, but with the added benefit of the back up cam. I hate having to look at the dash when backing up.

Yeah, I definitely prefer to be able to look in the mirror only, but those types of systems generally seemed to have less favorable reviews. Thanks for the tip.

Go oem style if at all possible. The aftermarket ones that are a license plate bracket just look tacky

I bought one from Ford a few years ago for around $33,000. They gave me a free truck with it.
