What CBs do you have ahead of him and what separates them?

Savion Smith
Trayvon Mullen
Kristian Fulton
Levonta Taylor

Then we get down to
Carter
Chad Clay
Rodarius Williams(kid from Calvary;watch his tape
Khalil Ladler
Greedy Williams

The 4 top guys are bigger(aside from Taylor, who is just a monster and maybe the top CB period), comparable or better athletes, more physical, more natural in coverage, have more experience as full time CBs and sometimes you have to know the games that go into recruiting. Carter has already played games with us last summer and while worth continuing to recruit but has to be let known that he doesn't hold the cards. We will fill his spot if he wants to play games. Regardless of what some think, recruiting is not all about talent. If you have 2 comparable talents, coaches will go with the kid easier to recruit and with less involved in their circle. So even if you have player 1 higher on the board, sometimes you take player 2 because his talent is comparable and he's just less a headache.

IMO Carter has to prove he wants LSU to continue recruiting him and show he's willing to compete with the other top talents on the board. He has to understand that LSU is not gonna just hand him something. He's got to earn it in their eyes. He took another step in that journey yesterday.

Don't allow perception, to shape your thinking about an entire school.

He'll be qualified!

Yeah, because Ponchatoula is the Mecca of education in Tangipahoa Parish.
