I'm leaning towards option 2...
1) (by Par IV)

make one like this
the Windows flag as the D
the Android as the either the O or a P
and the Apple apple as the O in com.
keep the mouse as the dot.
and keep the grey.

the first "I" needs to be lowercase
lose the cd
change the usb to a remote
make the dot a mouse

Sorry...not a huge fan of either...

You gotta have a board first.

five obsolete or soon to be obsolete items of computing make an appearance in these logos - optical media, USB, a physical keyboard, the desktop tower, and an old school mouse. not very smart, IMO.

Physical media and USB jump drives (not the actual interface), probably.
But I truly hope you're not under the impression that actual keyboards, mice, and towers will be nearing obsolescence anytime soon.

1. This one is a little more subtle. The CD as an 'O' is not bad at all and conveys the intention. The flash drive as an I is a little meh.
2. Looks a little random and forced. The mouse as a period sort of works. The keyboard and desktop images don't look well integrated at all; they look a little sloppy.
If there is a definite desire to integrate tech images into the specific board image, one idea off the top of my head would be to turn the whole purple rectangle into a piece of rack equipment, like a 2U server, network switch or something similar. The tigerdroppings.com text could be fit into the area where the drive bays would be. Another idea... take a basic image of circuitry or something like a motherboard, and turn the image sort of translucent. Then just overlay that image directly over the standard tigerdroppings.com board image; you'd still be able to read the tigerdroppings.com, but should ideally still be able to see the detail of the mobo, chip or whatever image you choose.
If you guys are working on this, hopefully that means the religion board is in the works, too. Maybe you could hang a tiny image of Christ off of the T... I kid, of course.
eta... if the philosophy angle of the possible religion/philosophy board were emphasized, you could just make it the basic purple TD image, but end it in a question mark: "TIGERDROPPINGS.COM?" That would be understated, yet arguably witty.

Both of those are really bad.
