Pretty cool story. Just thought I share some off-season good news, instead of the usual bone-headed off-season crap that happens.

Good story. Glad to see USC isn't totally full of terribleness.

What a joke the NCAA is
quote:
The only negative has been the necessity of moving up the trip after having all the flights ticketed and schedule set for a later departure and return that would have had them back at the end of next week. That would have meant missing the start of the first two days of USC's summer session for the players enrolled.
"What happened was the NCAA wouldn't give us an exception for summer school," Negrete said. "They can give out certain exceptions for these kinds of things but it's crazy, they didn't give us one for this."

And despite the earlier departure than originally planned, moved up from Monday, all 16 original Trojans were making the trip. T.J. McDonald, Devon Kennard, Dion Bailey, Robert Woods, Khaled Holmes, Nickell Robey, Hayes Pullard, Scott Starr, Josh Shaw, Cyrus Hobbi, Kevin Greene, Max Wittek, Cody Kessler, Luke Freeman and Negrete are the USC players who will be building at least four homes in an area 20 miles from the capital where the damage was centered as well as deliver the supplies to schools and orphanages.
Such class.
And Barkley is such a great leader coordinating this with the players

Kind of difficult to see how this reeks of anything else other than the NCAA still holding a vendetta against SC.

I don't like thinking this way, but the NCAA is making it impossible to think otherwise. the NCAA.

If Barkley wins the Heisman and a National Championship, they're going to build a statue of him outside Heritage Hall dressed as Aeneas of Troy.
