Can anybody give me some good fishing spots along this part of Hwy 1?

I've heard of the Snake Pit and Forbidden Hole, can anyone tell me where those are at?

Just look for places where water passes under the road. Small fish get sucked through with the tide and big fish want for them

Snake Pit and Telephone Pole Hole are pretty much done at this point in the year. Fourchon is good, Golden Meadow, Bason's, Bobby Lynn's, etc.

Bobby Lynns is in Leeville, right before the Leeville Bridge. If you're heading south on Hwy 1, it would be on your left.

Between 2 yakkers we caught 6 trout and 2 reds. First time down there so we spent most of the time scouting for Paddle Palooza.

I heard a rumor they were putting toll booths on the bridge? Any truth to that?

No idea. I kind of like the system they have now. Just pay ahead or after and roll on through.

I'll give you my go to spot.
Pass up Fourchon exit and head toward Grand Isle. About 1-1 1/2 miles on the left is a small camp with a light pole out in the water by the rocks on the side of the road.
The camp drive is gated but I fish those rocks right by that light pole.
Redfish, trout and some of the biggest doormat flounder I've caught.
Also caught a big arse alligator gar there one day.
This spot is good day and night under that light.
Always good water movement in this spot.

Bason's is to the right off the Golden Meadow bypass, before you get to the Walmart in Galliano. Turn on the street right after the convenience store, go over the levee and the launch is right there. Access to the sulphur mines and PAC WMA.

There are dozens of great spots along Hwy 1. Any spot where you have tidal flow under the road is good, then many of the bar pits on the side of the road btw Fourchon and GI are good. The bridges in that section are great, and the cuts at Elmer's Island hold fish. TPH and Snake Hole are good winter spots, but now that it has warmed up will drop off.
