Silly play, but the outcome of the play was not in question
FWIW the ref was raising his arms when he was at the 1. Maybe threw him off

7 looked over the the ref who had already signaled TD and, at that time, 7 tossed the ref the ball. No replay to offset because play was dead when the ref signaled TD.

The play is not dead just because the ref raises his arms and signals TD.
That is the dumbest excuse I've heard.

Not in college. It was a quick play in full speed and the ref was already signaling a td. If Georgia saw anything they would've challenged. Shows you how close of a play it was.

Seriously? I'm glad he scored but that is a horrible rule. A ref could just throw up his arms if he sees a fumble at the end zone and it would be a dead ball?

Because the official had signaled TD, the play can't be reviewed as a fumble in that situation. And the whistle was likely being blown too which also results in dead ball. Both by rule.
And every score is reviewed in the booth. The above is why that play wasn't reviewed on the field as an official review.

Again......I want LSU to win. But y'all are REALLY downplaying the fact that your player threw the ball out of bounds before he scored the TD.
