Why Miles decision was bad! Not a JJ bash either!

This was a bad decision for two different reasons.

1. I think pulling Lee this early for Jefferson who has not practiced in 4 weeeks hurts the team Chemistry that has been built over these past 4 games. And puts into the back of Lee's head that if he makes a mistake he will be pulled. This will make him play tight and make his passes not as good as he has been the first 4 games. Kinda like what happened with them today.

2. It wasn't fair to JJ either (even though it succeded) Putting some one who has not practiced in 6 weeks into this kinda high pressure situation with the game still in the early goings. There is so much that can go wrong with the snap on a sneak. And add in a QB who is pumped up has not taken a meaningful snap it could have ended bad.

Yes it did not end bad but this is why I was not happy with the situation not just because JJ was put in at this time. Would have been just as upset if Mett was put in. Was a stupid call for Miles to prove a point.

No I was not there and did not boo, but was definitly not happy with the call.

He didn't pull him. Lee started the next series.

Also, your avy is too big.

Subbing for one play or series is not the same as "pulling".

Actually, he wasn't proving a point, he was giving the finger to a vocal minority of our 'fans' who are entitled little twats while also showing his team that he is behind them.

And it was against fricking Kentucky. STFU with this 'OMG high pressure situation so unfair to both QBs'. That's as see-through as 'OMG JJ might divide the team!!!' faux concerns are.

Um we got a TD off of it,it doesnt take much "practice" to sneak the ball 1 yard

Lee could have scored the touchdown in the previous 3 plays...without JJ we would kick a FG, now with him we have a chance to sneak those in for TDs and all opposing D coordinators have to plan for it

No bigger than yours on my screen.

He pulled him out for that play means he pulled him. I didn't say he pulled him for the whole game.

I am talking about the timing between recieving the snap and lunging forward. That without alot of practice can be tricky. Like I said it worked out but was a gamble.

Did you bitch about the timing last year when JJ would be in a rhythm and get pulled for JL to have one or two snaps?

Yes I am not a fan of the 2 QB system. Takes them out of their rhythm

Pick one and stick with them until they are ineffective then pull them for a change of pace. Didn't like it with R.P. either.

Putting JJ in the game after not practicing for 5 weeks was a bad decision, period! Regardless of how he played today, he isn't in "playing shape".

I can't believe any coach at the college or pro level would put a player in a game after missing that much time. Besides, it wasn't as if LSU had to put him in due to injuries at that position.

Likewise, did Josh Johns get into the game today? I know he wasn't a starter. Did he play on special teams or at his LB position in the 4th quarter when plenty of reserves were on the field? If not, what was the reasoning behind it?

He has handled the situation better than any other coach would have until today.

I think Miles felt he had to put JJ in the situation because it was a good chance for him to have success. If he puts JJ in at any point in the game and he goes 3 & out, the fans would have been even worse than they were when he did go in so he puts him in, they score a TD and the boos were "watered down". From what I could see, during the time out, Lee was right there supporting JJ. The fans are making it a bigger issue than it is and Miles was just doing what he felt was the right thing to do.

Then there is something wrong with Miles thinking. Nothing wrong with letting it settle in for a week or two then working him in when he has had time to put in the time in the film room and in meetings and get in game shape. I think most people would have handled it better that way.
