Les Miles Interpreted Through Art...

The Son of Man (1964) by René Magritte.
About the painting Magritte said,
"...At least it hides the face partly. Well, so you have the apparent face, the apple, hiding the visible but hidden, the face of the person. It's something that happens constantly. Everything we see hides another thing, we always want to see what is hidden by what we see. There is an interest in that which is hidden and which the visible does not show us. This interest can take the form of a quite intense feeling, a sort of conflict, one might say, between the visible that is hidden and the visible that is present."
I've been thinking how I could symbolize Les Miles through famous artwork. I believe I found my vision of Miles through Magritte's Son of Man. Magritte's description of the meaning of his work accurately captures the conflict I have with our coach.
"...Everything we see hides another thing, we always want to see what is hidden by what we see."
"...a sort of conflict, one might say, between the visible that is hidden and the visible that is present"
I'd like to see other interpretations of Miles and artwork from the rest of our farkers. Have fun with it!

Great thread idea!!
I've been a little avoidy lately because I am not happy with how some of my work has been reproduced.... "They" can feel free to use this one...
Revenge of the Clockfish a la Sandy Skoglund
I figured that "surrealism" was a good fit. Skoglund is famous for life sized sculpture. I remember seeing some of Skoglund's work around the time of the 1984 World's Fair in New Orleans (honestly can't remember if it was AT the Fair or at NOMA). So it was a room-sized piece where you walked through the door and you felt like you were in a subway tunnel. She later started using wild colors to contrast with her realities...
My favorite was called Radioactive Cats
The piece I re-worked (with a source pic waaaaay inferior to this one) is called Revenge of the Goldfish. If it looks familiar...
...you are probably familiar with this Post-Manchester Alt-Goth classic. The piece was cover art for an album of the same name.
IMHO - That band should receive Fark Board "revered status" based on the cover art for one of their other singles...

I don't blame you for feeling that way. As soon as I saw the Heisman cutouts on TV I looked at my wife and said, "That's Yurintroubl's work!"
ETA: I love your latest post with the fish!

Are you a member of Saints Report or Deviantart? If so - you can PM me and I'll give you my email addy....
ETA:
I have no intention of creating a fuss over anything printed for the Heisman SO FAR unless they received financial compensation for the design of course. If there are any future printings, on the other hand...
