After a 5-0 start in 2009, and Auburn being "BACK"..these are the total yards and points for Auburn in SEC play.

2009 Total Yards

375 - 23pts Ark
315 - 14pts Kentucky
193 - 10pts LSU
401 - 33pts Ole Miss
353 - 24pts Georgia
332 - 21pts Alabama

328 YPG - 20 Points per game

348 - 17pts Miss State

I know my team doesn't have much to talk about offensive wise..but for a team who has a dog shite defense..I would be worried if I were Auburn.

So are you admitting that you're worried? You aren't even discussing the topic at hand..........

Defense looked pretty good and hard hitting last night to me.

AU outgained MSU by like a 104 yards of total O.

I had to do a take.

I was expecting AU to at least hit 450+ yards of total O and score 30+ points on an average and small MSU defense.

Auburn is way overhyped. They smoke the cupcakes but cant hang with the big boys.

They just arent very good, nothing much you can say other than that...

So are you suggesting holding MSU to 14 points is a sign of a relevant defense?

You guys looked mediocre against one of the worst offenses in the SEC. (NO offense MSU)

I'd be worried.

considering that was Cam's first start in an SEC game, i would say no. The second half MSU was throwing a lot of strange looks at him and he really struggled. You guys haven't even begun to see this offense once Cam gets use to SEC play.

Simple answer, no.

I'd much rather have him than Crowton.

BFD....couple of stupid (typical) fumbles by our offense in the 2nd half.

No biggie against the likes of arkie state... but let that trend continue in league play will = disaster for AU or any team for that matter.

I would rather LSUs talent with Crowton than AUs talent with Gus. The LSU vs Auburn game will reflect that again this year.

We lost our starting LT and RB and gained 348 yards total, I'd call that a pretty solid day overall on an away game.

Also when you consider the offense was inside the redzone twice and made bonehead penalties that got us a field goal another time a similar issue and another time we got a penalty to get us from well inside field goal range to out of it completely. Put it at 23 points at minimum on that without those mistakes and it wasn't a bad offensive performance. Get a TD one one of those and go to 27 points and no one would say a word.

Every offense is "figured out" it still comes down to execution and we didn't get it done that well last night but considering everything that happened it is understandable.

Also that MSU defense might have been small but Mullen had scouted this game for 3 weeks so it is safe to say they had a pretty solid game plan coming into this game.

I don't disagree with you. But the point being made was that Ark State scored more points than they should have against an AU D. And our D had nothing to do with those fumbles.
