Does anyone have a lead on where I might find on of the competition models in 40 or 9mm? I have been hunting for just the 40 S&W 5.25” slide for a USPSA gun but have had no success. Even finding a full gun is proving to be an issue. I know they are out there but it’s been a few years since they produced them so second hand market is going to be all that is available. I appreciate any help. I’ve worn google out. Wanting to convert a 4.5” XDM 40 over to a strictly Limited major gun.

Precision Firearms in Baton Rouge had one a few months ago.
(cue the Precision haters )
(225) 754-7264 and ask for Nicole.

If you're not dead set on the XDm, Check out the Canik TP9SFX. Not sure how available it is locally, but several online retailers have had it in stock recently.
I have one and it's quite an amazing gun, for the price. Spent less than $100 on trigger and spring upgrades and this thing is so smooth...
Canik triggers are amazing out the box. Only reason I got a Freedomsmith trigger was to eliminate the pre travel. It also lessened the pull weight to about 3lbs at the break.
It's available in several different colors now. The gray-over-black was the original and now there's all black, all white, an Academy exclusive brown, black over white...
Edit to add: it's 9mm only.

Yeah I’m buying the second one. I’ll set it to the side and keep searching for one in a 40 with the stainless slide. I love the way mine looks being bi tone. I hate to get away from that look but also want the extra 3/4” of sight radius.

Nice guns and I’m sure I’ll add one of them to the collection sooner or later. I already own a XDM 40 that I have started modifying so I’m mainly looking for an upper to put on my frame&trigger assembly.
