I'm going on the 5th next month. Not hunting though. My first trip up there. Hoping to see some elk at least.

It can turn western most anytime in WYO. Two years ago, I had a WYO deer tag. The hunt was mid-October. It snowed enough that the interstate was closed for a while.
We got back where we wanted to camp and my son said it was like the artic circle. Super Duty pulling a trailer went past our site, but I soon saw them sliding back down the road, almost going over a drop off. They had to chain up to get turned around.
But the killer in Wyoming is the wind. It just never seems to stop.
Love Wyoming. Killed an elk, Muley, and antelope there. World class fly fishing. Hope you kill a giant.

I think I was there during that snow. Last year we left Sundance and drove in the East entrance of YNP, went to Old Faithful, and then drove out the West entrance to spend the night in West Yellowstone, Montana and it was in the high 40's and clear. The next morning we woke up to 8-10" of snow and the YNP was closed.
Our plan had been to drive in the West entrance, go out the South entrance, and then down through the Tetons but that didn't work out. We wound up heading South through Idaho to Odgen Ut and then on to Estes Park Co over a couple of days.
I go every year to Sundance but this year I drew an Elk tag and thank you, I hope I harvest a big one also.
