I guess that is OK if that is what you want. 
I like a good diamond stone myself. Sharpening my knife is kind of a habit. When I get a spare moment I reach in my pocket, pull my knife and stone and start sharpening.

Just don't use the diamond blades.
It was an old one from Alario Brothers.... best gift ever... It'll put an edge on a block of cheese.
