Anyone here enjoy wood burning as a hobby or just because? Me, I prefer the hand burned stuff but I can the benefits to the laser route when it comes to a business. Here's one I saw that I really liked.

That is really, really cool. How'd you get started doing this? Any tips?

I know the guy that did this one. He did a Banksy one that was really cool.

I've played around with it but just need a good wood burner and patience.

Be careful with setting up your own. From what I've seen, you're using part(s) from a microwave.

I burn some things here and there. The key is the wood. Most wood doesn't burn evenly. It's just a soldering iron with different tips. Cheap to get into.

In college instead of a paddle or anything like that, my fraternity pledge class cut down a tree and burned our name, pledge class, etc into the wood as a pledge plaque. It came out really nice. Still have it in my office today.
