are you the game warden who wrote me the ticket? You sound just like him.

hah. No. But I can come across as a bit rigid though when it comes to following rules...

I have hunted wmas my whole life and really appreciate and enjoy the opportunity they provide to someone like me who doesn't have the means or access to private opportunities so I get a tad defensive about their use. I understand it's a PITA to know all the regs and pay all the fees and that sometimes wardens do unnecessarily hassle well meaning sportsmen, but the vast majority of my run-ins with green jeans have been pleasant and lenient even when I was in the wrong. The wmas are a great and unique resource to LA that I hope you continue to patronize.

The state duck stamp IS included on the lifetime license, just like the wma permit.

It's the federal duck stamp that is not.

Got hit with the lack of WMA permit. 6 months probation and $250

Didnt need it for teal season when i bought license at age 17, turned 18 for big duck but didnt realize i needed to add that.

that's a little absurd. Why does that 1 year age gap exists? It has to be a clerical oversight. It really makes no sense and just creates unnecessary confusion.

Thats why its critical to know the rules....and the difference between federal refuges and state wmas

I know 3 guys that got check on a REFUGE that required a an annual pay permit...one had it...... The other two had their wma permits..and pleaded that they had their reserve permits LOOK...

To no avail.......it was an expensive lesson

Funny thing ia I told them and tried to explain. But they were adamant they had their reserve permits on license
