wireless router for the camp down the bayou

I was wondering about a wireless router that I have seen on here but cannot find it. Some was talking about they use it at their down the bayou. It hooks up to an outdoor special antenna.

Probably a wifi antenna. You put it on your house and can pick up someone else's wifi from a ways away

don't know how this would work at a camp unless it has internet nearby that you can use(steal)

I don't know the terminology...
but you can get a device that uses your cell signal to access, and it also comes with a wireless router thingy.
I have a friend that has this through Verizon, I think.

You are referring to a Verizon Hotspot. He would have a contract and monthly charge. What about tethering. Do you currently have a smart phone?

Just root your android phone and get a free wifi hotspot via barnacle.

where down the bayou and do you have cell phone services there.
if you have good services you could used a Cradlepoint MBR95 and a air card.
if you don't you would need a cell booster also.

Look at Wilson signal boosters. You basically plug an externally mounted antenna into an amp that broadcasts throughout your camp.

Also check out Dish Net. Just had it installed on the bosses houseboat in Venice, la.
For 40.00 a month for 5mbps down load and 1mbps up. with 5GB any time data.
