TM foot looks turrible with rust and rust bubbles. I’m going to hit it with a wire wheel and acetone tomorrow morning and use “Flex Seal” to coat it. Anyone used this and did it work for your project? At $14/can the shite ain’t cheap and if it doesn’t work I’m going to take it to the guy who sprayed my bed liner.

I once cut a hole in my flat boat to make it a glass bottom boat using flex seal. It worked then and it should now.

Nah not really. I’ve never used it. Good luck tho.

The only way I know to fully cure rust is to remove every bit of it.

Check out POR 15 as a coating.

Wire wheel it, then spray it with a zinc chromate primer, then spray it with an undercoating (similar to Flexseal).

Flex seal didnt fix a leak in my waders. It probably will hold moisture against the foot when water leaks behind it making the problem worse

Have you thought about a small can of Herculiner... in my little bit of dealings with both products Herculiner seems to have better adhesion.

wire wheeled, primed and sprayed flex seal yesterday afternoon. Shite is very messy and doesn't spray even. Plan to spray a second cote today but the rain has that on hold. Really doubt flex seal is going to be the answer and will try the hurculiner route next. Don't have time to take off and leave anywhere right now.
