Rocket is spot on. You can definitely catch some spotted bass in Manchac and surrounding areas at times.

I fish the area quite frequently and if there was one other poster that would give great information for fisherman in the area it's this guy. Anytime this area gets brought up about being void of bass and he gives you info.... You might want to listen to what he recommends.

We had a biologist from WDLF come make a duck hunt with us years back , he said this estuary has violent swings in tide. Bass make a bed on the bank, then next day it's dry land. We walked out next morning to all of our duck boats tied up on canal, resting on dry ground, lol.
