Anyone here still rocking this set up? Can someone recommend me a good set up?

For recreational/personal vehicle use the tried and true K40 is still hard to beat for an antenna. As for radios, Cobra and Uniden are the go-to's still these days but they have some pretty low end and very high end stuff with bluetooth connectivity and ear pieces instead of mic's.

My user name here is my handle from my CB days. I was always a fan of Connex radios. I used my dad's whip antenna from when he was in high school. Those were the good ole days... me and my buddies tied pieces of hay string to our whips, because we all milked cows together in the evenings after school at the local dairy farm.
RATeamWannabe probably remembers them days

I’d go export radio, i have several of them. They’re technically illegal without an amateur HAM license Because they transmit more than 4 watts but most if not all include the 11 meter CB band and they’re openly sold all over the net and CB shops, etc. A 40 channel CB, probably a Cobra 25 or 29, Texas Ranger, Galaxy 949 or 959. Export, AM only something like a General Lee. All Mode AM, FM, SSB export, I have an RCI 2950, a Galaxy 94 which have both proven tough in a mobile, dusty, spilt beer/coffee environment.

Had em on my first 2 trucks. Uniden grant XL hopped up with a 102” stainless. It may or may not have been strong enough to knock cable out and mess up other radios. Toned it down after I got into some shite.
