Nascar's pond is just out of the picture here at the bottom right. He wanted an aerial view to post more pics whenever pond questions came up so he built this.

You'd have to weight about 600lbs for a C8x11.5 channel to deflect 1/4" in that condition. That's also assuming all the weight is at the unsupported end.
