Probably a stupid question but why is buying a PSA upper and lower and putting it together myself better that just buying it already together?

You can find blemished uppers and lowers for cheap and can save you some $$.

A blem lower can be 140 and a blem upper 260.

That's $400 for a rifle. FFL and shipping and taxes are pretty much a wash vs a new rifle.

You can use the cash saved to buy a 5 mag bundle with 100 or so rounds for the price of a stripped rifle.

Buy stripped upper and lower. Put it all together yourself. Its easy, fun and you control the quality. A basic mil spec rifle works just fine, but you can certainly improve on that for not a lot of money.

Your BCG and Barrel will be of the utmost importance, use the A5 buffer and outfit the gun the way you see fit..
