I've heard of line-x and rhino liner in BR. Anyone got any reviews of the two or know anyone else who does it?

There's a place in Gonzales or Prarieville that does one and it's not branded rhino or line-x. Personally they all look about the same to me and seem to hold up the same.

I'm not a fan of spray in liners, but a lot of people like em.

Every do it yourself roll on/spray on liner i've seen looks like shite and starts coming off on everything that touches it after a few years.

IMO put a $100 rubber mat and maybe one of those things on the tailgate and call it good enough.

For what reason? They seem like the way to go.

Once they get 5 years old or so they start to fade pretty bad unless you keep it in a garage. At least all the ones I've seen have. And they hold up well for a while by they'll all chip eventually. My neighbor has a Toyota with 12 year old line-x and it's falling off and looks like utter shite. Plus, it doesnt really provide any "cushion" so it'll still dent the bed. Maybe if you'll only have the truck for 5 years or so it's a good idea but I'll pass.

That being said, DO NOT, under any circumstances, buy a bed rug if you won't be using a bed cover That was a terrible idea.

They make a better kind of spray these days that has a shine on it versus the old ones that didn't and faded.

My buddy's dad bought a used 2009 tundra that came with a rhino liner on it and it's already looking really dull.

I'm just hesitant to put something in you can't take out later I guess

You can always spray over it after several years to give it new life.

Never thought about that

To the OP, definitely go with a rhino or linex, don't get some cheaper kit sprayed at a body shop. Did that to the old ranger (RIP) when we fixed it up and it was basically just thick black textured paint. It scratched right off if you threw something in it. Only real info I can contribute to this thread

rubber mat

This is the winner, and nothing on the tailgate. The rubber mat is awesome, and you can take it out if you want to shovel sand or dirt out of the back. You can kneel on it, your dog gets good traction, things don't slide...and your truck gets to be a truck - you know with bed scratches and all.

I have line-x in a 2006 F-150. I really like it so far. I dont really put much abuse to it but I do haul a bunch of shite back there and have no problems with it. I was planning on getting rhino lining but showed up to my appointment 15 minutes late at the place in industriplex (i think) and the dude was a complete cocksucker about it. moral of the story: i would recommend line-x

Anyone ever hear of xtreme bed liners in hammond? They keep leaving 10% off cards on my truck. Maybe I'll just wait till I get 10 of em. Personally I like to stay away from ish with Xtreme in the name.

Yea I agree with that. Although my dad put a set of catch-all xtreme floormats in his truck and they're awesome.

The place I was talking about in my first post is acension liners in prarieville. I know a few people who got one from them and they all came out good, felt just like a rhino liner.

My dog could use a bit of traction. He gets beat up with nothing down there.
